I don’t know 100% but I can easily imagine how royally messed up it is behind bars! It’s most definitely good to detox to get off of opiates but to do a rapid taper is more than likely done way to fast and imo after the said person is detoxed off of the opiate or opiates, depending on the specialist that prescribed the meds I would say after a 30 to 45 day detox the person should probably be given ativan for an additioal 600 to 90 days at a moderate dosage and then a lower dosage after 15 to 20 day’s and a month before being taken off of the benzodiazepine have patient go on some antidepressant. A antidepressent that patient can safely go off of without inducing severe anxiety and or panic attacks.
